Knitwear requires special care to maintain its shape, texture, and appearance.
Knitwear made of wool such as our rollneck and sweater vest should only be hand-washed by using cold/lukewarm water and a mild wool detergent. Avoid using hot water when it comes to wool in general as it can shrink the fibers. Gently swirl the garment in the water. Let the water soak for up to 10 minutes before rinsing it thoroughly with clean water. Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach or fabric softeners when washing or caring for your garments as these can harm the fibers and directly affect the quality of the fabric.
NEVER wring out the garment. Rather squeeze out the water very gently and lay the garment flat on a clean towel to dry. Do not hang the garment on a hanger or on a clothes rack, but always lay it flat so that it does not lose its shape when drying.
If you want to iron your knitwear, try to use a pressing cloth (e.g. a clean cotton tea towel) to protect the fabric from the heat. Adjust the iron to a low heat setting and iron the garment gently without tugging or pulling.
When storing your knitwear, fold it neatly and lay it flat in your wardrobe where its protected from sunlight and insects. In general, avoid hanging knitwear on a hanger, especially if it is a thin metal one, as this can damage the fibers and make the garment bulge.
