Corozo is a nut which comes from the Tagua palm tree in the rainforest of Ecuador and is a commonly used and robust material for the button manufacturing industry.
The Tagua trees are not damaged, only their fruits are harvested and used to make corozo buttons - a sustainable alternative to plastic buttons and a vegan alternative to horn buttons.
Corozo buttons are natural and biodegradable and have, like horn buttons, an elegant grain that makes each button unique.
All our corozo buttons are produced in Germany and are certified according to GOTS.
