Viscose is a type of rayon fabric that is made from natural cellulose, typically derived from wood pulp or cotton. It is a versatile material that is known for its softness, comfort, and draping qualities. Viscose is also called “natural polymer” as it has similar properties as polymers in terms of durability, but it is 100% plastic-free.
We use Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certified Viscose from Germany as lining for our blazers. Its cooling and soft element is perfect for easily sliding into the blazer. The viscose we use is FSC certified and is based on the renewable raw material wood. The wood comes from 100% local, legal and sustainable reforestation. The fiber production takes place in Bavaria, Germany. The material has been awarded the Material Health Level Gold by the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute and has been declared as “responsible fiber” by the Fair Trade Organisation. The Viscose is thus processed in supply chains that are certified with Fairtrade Textile Standards.
